Welcome aboard!

Hello, and welcome aboard to this whole new experiment for me. My name is Pete Vagiakos, or as most people know me, Kombatant. I live in a nice suburb of Athens, Greece, called Chaidari, I have been into computers since the late 80s and I am currently 28 years old. My favourite subject is the Graphics Card industry; I am a moderator in one of the largest ATI fan sites in the world, Rage3D and I like the subject very much.

So, why this blog? To be quite honest, I've never even thought of creating a blog. I was asleep actually (it's 2.50am right now) and I woke up a while ago since this is one hot night here in Athens. So I decided to peruse the net, as I usually do, just out of sheer boredom. I stumbled into a blog about Longhorn, and noticed that I was already logged into JoeUser, due to my Stardock account. So I thought "what the heck"... and here I am

I plan to publish editorials, random thoughts and whatever comes into my mind in this place, so either stay tuned or, well, steer clear from this place. Thanks for reading!

Mikri75: I sincerely doubt it. The surname Vagiakos is rare, and it can only be found in two villages in Greece: Orchomenos and Romeiko at Viotia. So since I do not know them, they probably have roots from Romeiko

I have been told by my father Vasilios hlahlas that in past generations our surename originated from Vagiakos. Split by a nickname or otherwise known in greek (paratsouklio)The name hlahlas can still be found in limnos, mostly in Atsiki.

I currently live in Australia - Melbourne. I would like to find out more about this link between the two surenames.
